Local bus routes #14a and #14b complete circular routes around Padang from north of the airport into the city and out again. They both head south into the city past the airport via Jalan Prof Hamka to the Minang Plaza, Jalan S Parman and the Jalan Khatib Sulaiman junction. The #14a then heads along Jalan Khatib Sulaiman towards the city centre. The #14b continues south to Jalan S Parman, Jalan Raden Saleh and Jalan Padang Baru; it then joins #14a and they both head straight into the city down Jalan Rasuna Said, Jalan Sudirman, Jalan Bagindo Azizchan, across the main junction with Jalan Moh Yamin and Jalan Proklamasi, Jalan Thamrin, Jalan Nias, Jalan Belakang Pondok, Jalan HOS Cokroaminoto, the beach entrance, Jalan Gereja, Jalan Diponegoro, the Adityawarman Museum, Jalan Moh Yamin, Jalan Hilgoo, Jalan Thamrin, Jalan Bagindo Azizchan and north out of the city on the route they have come in.

White bemos #416, #419, #420, #422, #423 and #424 run north from Jalan Pemuda out to Minang Plaza and towards the airport.
