With a large student population in the city there are plenty of live-music venues. Try Tequila Willies, Jl Kayon 62 (daily 6pm-5am), or News Caf?, Jl Raya P Sudirman 47-49 (daily 11pm-1am). RRI Surabaya, Jalan Pemuda, stages free wayang kulit shows every Saturday at 10pm, and during the dry season (July-Nov) there are free fortnightly open-air performances of traditional dance and drama at Pandaan, 45km from Surabaya; enquire at the tourist offices in Surabaya for a schedule, or at the travel agent's there if you want to arrange an inclusive tour.
